Alketa Delishaj, Federica Aiello Pini

Alketa Art & Aiello Pini Gallery was born from the collaboration of emerging artists Alketa Delishaj and Federica Aiello Pini. Based between Verona and Mantua, their activities often push beyond national borders, returning to Italy with new blood and renewed energy.
Alketa Delishaj, born in Shkoder, Albania, lives in Verona, her art studio is located in the province of Mantua, and in May 2021 she opened her first art gallery Alketa.art in the heart of Riccione. In his work he mainly investigates the relationship between painting and photography while also moving into the world of design.

Concept for the fair

Alketa’s work refers to an iconic series by the artist “The Diving Women” inspired by the exploits of Jane Fauntz, Katherine Rawls and all the Olympic divers who, by participating in Antwerp 1920, became a visual manifesto for gender equality. Stories of sports, but also of women’s empowerment, capable of bringing to the public’s attention issues that are still relevant today, so that every woman, in every corner of the world, in the near future can dive fearlessly into the infinite possibilities of life.

Federica Aiello Pini at (un)fair presents a selection of works inspired by the impressive chain of fires that have recently besieged and destroyed so much of the Earth, due to neglect, greed and climate change: from Sicily (where the artist comes from on her mother’s side), Greece and Spain to Africa, the Amazon, Canada, California, Hawaii…
Federica’s artistic process, through the collage made from pieces of her previous work created at a different time and in a different place on the planet, connects distant areas and events that are only seemingly disconnected, in a desire to sublimate the destructive force of fire to bring about reflection, awareness, and consequently hope.
